Project Spotlight

Cooper Aerial has been selected as on-call provider for Resolution Copper!

The Resolution Copper Mining (RCM) project is located three miles east of Superior, Arizona. Exploration during 2001-2003 indicated that the Resolution Mine may be the largest copper resource ever found in North America and possibly the world. The mine will have a huge impact on the economy of the State of Arizona. Based upon early projections over a 66 year life span, a peak of 1,200 mine employees and 200 construction workers are expected on-site during normal operations. The annual mine operations are initially expected to account for $178.7 million in wages.

RCM has selected Cooper Aerial Surveys Co. as their on-call geospatial provider. As a result, Cooper Aerial Surveys Co. was contracted to provide multiple geospatial services to Resolution Copper Mining. These services included photogrammetric mapping, digital ortho-photography, and surveying services. These services assisted RCM in overall mine design, geotechnical, and exploration efforts. Cooper is very excited for this on-call opportunity and will continue to provide RCM with topnotch geospatial services.

ARC GIS

UTEK and Cooper have recently teamed up to provide mapping services for a quarry in Phillipsburg, NJ.  Cooper provided aerial imagery, and mapping of contours and planimetrics.  As a bonus, we also delivered a 3d animation of the quarry. The 3d animation was created by making a DEM from the contour and breakline data.  Once the
DEM was completed, we overlaid the imagery to make a 3d appearance. This cutting edge technology has proven to be a very useful tool for planning and design. We are excited to offer this exciting technology to our valued customers and thank Mark Reese and UTEK for giving us the opportunity to provide geospatial services.

Nevada Department of Transportation, On – Call Services
