A Note from our President
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Hello everyone, as you may have noticed, we took a break from our newsletter but we are back in full force. Like so many others, we are making alternative energy and “green” living a priority at Cooper Aerial. We are going to be focusing this newsletter, and many more to come, on the great opportunity and hope that result from the renewable energy movement.
We hope to encourage many of you to make the development of alternative energy a priority as well. Please join us in learning about and supporting the T Boone Pickens Plan to reduce our dependency on foreign oil and create thousands of American jobs. We are in a unique industry that stands to benefit greatly, in the short and long term, from the development of alternative energy resources. We hope our newsletter will serve as a catalyst for thinking “green,” as always, keep your questions and comments coming.
Regards,
Jeff Cooper

Cooper Offers Alternative Energy Services
We have recently made alternative energy services a major component of our service offerings at Cooper Aerial. In other words, we are developing innovative GIS Services for industry specific needs.

As alternative energy technologies develop, it is our job to be nimble in order to meet the evolving needs of the industry. We are now offering, new and existing clients, Comprehensive Integrated Mapping Services that include Stakeholder Research, and Forensic Geospatial Services alongside enhanced Geographic Information Services (GIS). All of which will be presented in a user friendly method, making a mass amount of data understandable to the non-technical user. This service will enable us to produce data in a variety of fashions based upon the requirements of each individual project. Each of these will be tailored specifically to serve our friends in the alternative energy industry.

With these types of services come some unique challenges in developing master plans, preliminary design, entry level solutions, and data adaptations as well as the need for added communication with multiple government agencies. Our integrated mapping solution will provide the client with the proper toolsets to present to these groups.

Project Highlight
Abengoa Solar
Abengoa Solar recently signed an agreement with Arizona Public Service (APS) to build what promises to be the largest solar power plant in the world. The plant will be named Solana and will be located near Gila Bend, when operating it will supply power to approximately 70,000 homes.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Gannett Fleming to provide mapping services for the Solana project including: design mapping and ortho-imagery geospatial services. We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to work on a project that will improve our environment and bring more of the alternative energy industry to Arizona. We look forward to participating in similar projects in the future.

Visit Abengoa Solar online to learn more about Solana and other exciting project throughout the U.S. and the world.
