A Note from our President

Jeff on an recent aerial recon mission

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the “Aerial Photography Panel Discussion” at the upcoming APLS Conference. I am looking forward to participating as panel discussions always present the opportunity to learn from colleagues and gain new perspective.

As many of you know, the APLS Conference serves an exciting opportunity to reconnect with friends and make new professional contacts. I would like to encourage those of you, who have not already done so, to register. I hope to see you there.

Regards,
Jeff Cooper
Employee Spotlight

Tim Burrows

Mr. Burrows has been with Cooper Aerial since 2005. He was originally hired as a Marketing Coordinator and has since made the move to our GeoScans division. Together, with Max Coleman, Tim runs this new and exciting area of business. The GeoScans division was established following the purchase of 2 additional DSW700 scanners, early last year. Together, with the use of scanners that we already owned, these machines served as the catalyst for the launch of the GeoScans division. As GeoScans celebrates its first anniversary, we are proud to announce that we are still offering high quality scans, at a rapid turnaround rate, with very competitive pricing. As one of the masterminds behind GeoScans, Tim has proven himself as one of Cooper's valued employees.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his lovely fiancé Alexis, playing the bass guitar with his worship band, walking his dog and woodworking. Tim and Alexis are making final arrangements for their wedding in late March. Tim also enjoys completing Do-It-Yourself projects on the home he and Alexis recently purchased. Everyone at Cooper would like to thank Tim for his hard work and commitment. We would also like to congratulate Tim and Alexis for their upcoming nuptials. We wish you the best!
Special Thanks:

Chris Seck

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Chris Seck for a job well done. Chris recently headed up the composition of sizable proposal which required an exceptional amount of work. On behalf of the entire Cooper Aerial staff, we would like to recognize Chris for his dedication and hard work. Thanks Chris!
Cooper Leverages Find Your Spot Technology

We are excited to announce that we recently invested in a SPOT Satellite Messenger. The personal tracking device is said to be the world’s first satellite messenger system. The device can be used as a safety line for surveyors while in the field to communicate their coordinates and allow contacts to track their progress through Google Maps.

Cooper Leverages Helicopter to Complete Aerial Survey

While working on a project for the Baghdad Mine, in western Yavapai County, we were forced to draw upon unconventional survey methods. Because the rugged terrain was making ground survey close to impossible, we decided to leverage a Bell 206 helicopter for aerial survey. With the help of our friends at Gold Coast Helicopter, we were able to complete the job successfully.

By utilizing aerial survey, we were able to complete the job in a more timely and cost effective manner. Not only was the project was a success, but we were given the opportunity to challenge ourselves in a new and exciting way. We would like to thank Gold Coast Helicopter for their help and professionalism; we hope to have the opportunity to work together again soon.

Special Remembrance

The entire Cooper Staff would like to take this opportunity to pay our respects to the memory of Steven Toltin. Steven’s wife Brenda has been with Cooper for 15 years as our Tucson Office Manager. Steven and Brenda met in high-school and have been best friends and partners in life ever since. Together they have two daughters and five grandchildren. Steven has truly become a member of the Cooper Aerial family over the years.

We would like to extend our warmest sympathies to Brenda and her family. Steven will be dearly missed.
