February 2008
A Note from our President

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope you are all enjoying a happy and healthy 2008.

Prior to my trip to the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors 2008 conference in Hershey PA, I finished reading the biography of Milton Hershey, the founder of one of America greatest Chocolate brands. I found his story interesting and inspiring, particularly his belief that building and maintaining relationships is the key to success. While relationships have always been an integral part of our business model, I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your continued interest and support of Cooper Aerial.

Regards,
Jeff Cooper

Don and his wife Mary have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, with one more on the way in April. Don has been an important part of the Cooper Aerial family for years. On behalf of the entire Cooper Aerial team, we would all like to thank him for his hard work and diligence!

Returning to Our Roots in 2008

“Business is a matter of human services”
Milton Hershey

As we kick off 2008, we are revisiting the core values of Cooper Aerial. Since we opened our doors in 1966 we have built our business on relationships with both customers and colleagues. Though our technology and even some of the faces at Cooper Aerial have changed, over the years, our commitment to building and maintaining relationships has remained constant.

“We have our technology, schedules, accuracies, and production down to a science,” said Jeff Cooper. “But it is the human element of Cooper Aerial that keeps our loyal customers coming back and enables us to maintain relationships with our respected colleagues.”

Our commitment to relationship development is evident through our team of project managers. These hardworking and honest people serve as liaisons between us, at Cooper Aerial, and many of you. More important than their GIS backgrounds, and their experience in the field, is their ability to connect with and serve our customers and colleagues.

Each and every one of you is a valuable part of the Cooper Aerial Family and we hope to continue to have the opportunity to prove that to you for years to come.
Phil Gershkovich to Speak at the New Jersey Professional Land Surveyors’ Conference

We are proud to announce that our own Phil Gershkovich will be speaking in a “GIS in the Real World” panel at the New Jersey Professional Land Surveyors’ Conference on February 8.

The panel will focus on Survey Professionals and how GIS can work in their favor. If you are in attendance, be sure and check it out.

Cooper Aerial Hosts Mexican Delegation

We were recently honored to have the opportunity to host a delegation of municipal professionals from Mexico. During their visit they were given a technical tour of our facility. We then sat down for an in depth discussion of the role GIS data systems play in the development and planning processes.

As the Mexican government works to develop small communities and rural areas, GIS will play a key role in their success. We were proud to have the opportunity to share our insight and experience with our neighbors to the South.
